Already during this 2007-08 season, twenty-six deaths across North America make it painfully clear that the historical mediums of avalanche awareness are in need of a new approach. The Rocky Mountain Sherpas have teamed up with the Canadian Avalanche Foundation to revolutionize both the medium and the message.

The Hunting Yeti short films feature the sliding abilities of Pep Fujas, Eric Pollard, Chris Benchetler, Andy Mahre, and friends. Witness all the action as the Nimbus Independent crew begins the season at Mt. Hood and finishes up at North Cascade Heli-Skiing during the epic snows in January.
 BILLY POOLE SKI FOUNDATION: Memorial Video
Some friends have been helping Billy Poole's mom set up the Billy Poole Ski Foundation to help get underpriveleged/underserved kids get out on the slopes. The website is www.billypooleskifoundation.org. People can go there and post stories/memories about Billy, and also find out more information about the Billy Poole Ski Foundation. Billy's mom, Phyllis Erck, and family felt strongly about carrying on Billy's legacy with an effort that was close to his heart. Through grant-giving, the foundation will support programs offering opportunities for underprivileged people of all ages to learn to ski and enjoy outdoor adventures. With support from Ski Utah, Warren Miller, www.backcountry.com, Roxy and all of Billy's sponsors, The Billy Poole Ski Foundation is already taking on a life of its own.
