2002 POWDER TO THE PEOPLE
2/10/02 - Snowbasin, UT

The day started brilliant. We had an early start to pick up ourcredentials for the Olympic Men's Downhill and there was not a cloud inthe sky. Then, in a matter of minutes, there was a huge explosion ofpeople and before you knew it there were 3 to 4 hour lines everywhere. As much as we wanted to witness this event we did not want to wait forhours only to miss it anyway. So we did what any skier would-said screwit and took off to Big Cottonwood Canyon. You see, after our oversizedcrowd experience at Snowbasin, we decided a place called Solitude wasthe remedy we needed. We turned the frustrations from earlier in the dayinto distant memories as we ripped the steeps off Risky Ridge and skieduntil the lifts shut us down. At the end of the day we basked in theglow of another day of skiing and the cold Red Hooks we drank put a nicecapper to a frustrating yet ultimately good day.

1st Row: (L to R) 1) Spak and Will gear up by the EuroVan. 2) The dualThule rules.
