SALOMON JIB ACADEMY FINAL: Youngsters Throw Down at Mammoth
The Salomon Jib Academy Tour is a series of Slopestyle events for freeski athletes ages 16 and under. Many countries participated in 2008, including Norway, France, Canada, Sweden, Switzerland and the U.S. The winners of these stops were invited to Mammoth Mountain Resort as the ultimate ski prize.

TOUR FOR THE CURE: A Mission For Breast Cancer Research
Kelly Holland and her 10 companions — Rachael Burks, Hannah Whitney, Tanya Christensen, Phillipa Hunt, Molly Baker, Rebecca Selig, Quincy Young, Jess Kunzer, Re Wikstrom and Vanessa Pierce — on the first annual Backcountry Tour for the Cure clinked classes to celebrate hiking four-ish hours up Little Cottonwood Canyon’s Maybird Gulch. The mission for the weekend was to raise some cash for breast cancer research and the Susan B. Komen Foundation and celebrate being alive by skiing the Hypodermic Needle.
NINE KNIGHTS: Freeski Contest Oberstdorf, Germany
Finally the sun came out at the Nine Knights freeski session at the Nebelhorn in Oberstdorf. Nico Zacek, one of Germany's finest freeskiers, Suzuki team rider and head organizer of the event, had a big smile in his face.

The final stop of the Subaru U.S. Freeskiing Series and the Freeskiing World Tour wrapped up last Saturday at Alyeska Resort, Alaska. The emotional day of competition began this morning as nearly 200 competitors hiked to the top of Alyeska peak to pay tribute to fallen competitor John Nicoletta of Aspen, Colorado.
