SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH (Nov. 3, 2003) -- Utah's first significant winter storm of the season has ski resorts scrambling to open their lifts. Since the storm began late last week as much as 48 inches of 'The Greatest Snow on Earth' has fallen in Utah's Wasatch Mountains. The National Weather Service is forecasting an additional 12-24 inches over the next 24 hours with more snow expected at the end of next week.
Following are snow totals as of yesterday morning (11/04/03... add roughly a foot as of today):
