I'm here in Mammoth enjoying some sun, occasional winds, and a bundle of events.
Firstly, I have been skiing with Symms, Abma, and the whole Salomon gang while they're attending the Salomon Jib Academy. Secondly, Pat Bridges, the venerable editor of Snowboarder magazine allowed me to go check out Snowboarder magazine's Superpark 12. It was extremely sick, but I accidentally was skiing most the time (go figure) and I forgot to document all the features. So, I borrowed these pics off Snowboardermag.com from Aaron Dodds.
I captured a few pics from the hip session, which unfortunately ended with a brutal crash from Brett Butcher. He ended up breaking his L1 vertebrae and fracturing his sternum, but fortunately was seen walking around later that evening. Get better soon, Brett.
And lastly, we—the Nimbus Crew—are going to be hitting Superpark when the boarders are all said and done thanks to Pat and Mammoth Mountain. Pep just showed up at my house last night and Pollard is with the rest of the crew speeding by car down from Oregon. So, Pep and I are headed up to the hill, but I will keep you updated with our spring adventures.
