Jackson, Wyoming - A mere 10 days after Jackson Hole Mountain Resort opened for business under the hazy drought of a high-pressure inversion, the legendary Wyoming mountain is set to open 3400 vertical feet of terrain.
Like many resorts across the West receiving much-needed snowfall this week--including Snowbird which announced a Friday tram opening--the warm, wet snowfall is allowing terrain to be opened with unexpected speed.
In the middle of a low pressure system that is producing good early season snowfall, JHMR will be opening lifts as below:
Bridger Gondola (vertical rise 2730 ft) Wednesday 18, 2002
Thunder Quad, (vertical rise 1456 ft) Thursday 19, 2002
Sublette Quad, Friday 20, 2002 (vertical rise 1630 ft)
