The Swiss have done it again: It’s time to replace your quiver of Stockli’s with the next best invention for all you hardcore snow-sports enthusiasts—the Bikeboard Snow. Who needs metal edges and two planks when you can manhandle a ‘fragmented’ platform board with bike-like handlebars, don a steezy motocross helmet and still not be considered a snowboarder?
For a mere $2,964 you too can swish around on a Bikeboard Snow, built with fiberglass reinforcement, an alloy fork and frame and a 100 percent Woodcore P-Tex 2000 “sole.” Just hop on, adjust the foot strap and try not to spray those in your wake—not to mention your lunch.
Bikeboard designer Cornelius Beck lures two plankers to the Bikeboard Snow stating, “You steer manually like with ski poles.” How much easier does it get than that? With purchase, you’ll receive a 24-page manual with detailed pictures illustrating assembly, use, maintenance, how to load a chair/gondola/T-bar, and even “afteruse” for proper disposal.
Disposal? That sounds like a great idea.
