THE GASCAN: Oakley's latest eyewear release

By Ian Fohrman

In the spirit of simple, strong, badass design, Oakley presents their latest eyewear release, the Gascan. Think muscle cars—80’s Ferraris, 70’s Camaros. The tough square lines that made these cars so appealing is incorporated flawlessly into these shades without sacrificing the cutting edge technology that has made Oakley famous.

The frame is composed of Oakley’s patented O Matter material, a synthetic frame material developed for minimal weight and maximum durability. Oakley guarantees it exceeds industrial durability requirements for chemical exposure and environmental extremes. If the Gascans can withstand being dipped in a vat of acid, even the roughest of après activities will prove no match.

The Plutonite lens blocks 100% of UVA, UBV and harmful blue light to protect your lids, while a single piece of curved glass ensures a perfectly continuous contour and undistorted vision. As with all Oakley glasses, the Gascans come in a variety of lenses, including polarized, gradient and Iridium. The polarized lenses are best for fishing (they cut through the glare on the water) while the Iridiums are best for discreetly looking where you shouldn’t.

The Gascan is available in seven different frame colors and 6 lens colors. They range in suggested retail price from $90 (basic lens) to $180 (Polarized Black Iridium).
