Whenever you see a ski chair chillin' on a dock, by a BBQ or in a living room, you think, "I could so make that." But, you probably can't and you definitely won't. That's where Skichair comes in. Their Adirondack chairs not only style out your digs, they're actually comfortable thanks to an ergonomically curved seatback and seat. More importantly, extra-long, extra-wide armrests accommodate all your beverage holding needs. Handmade from five-quarter inch Port Orford Cedar (super durable for outdoor use) and stainless steel, the chairs are custom built by Master Chair Rigger Ken Moreau, who matches his hair color with every chair he builds. Each chair requires 6 individual skis. Choose from a stock of over 100,000 Atomic, Dynastar, Elan, Fischer, K2, Rossi and Volant (people are throwing away Volants?!) skis.
One of our favorites, the drinking-specific Lube Job is constructed from hand picked race stock Elan 207's. It appears long sticks have a new—albeit not too glamorous—alternative to hitting the local landfill: holding your fat ass. Kick back in the LB and reminisce about neon, Raichles and that steamy night with the chalet girl. Skichair claims it's the finest chair they make—it better be for the hefty pricetag. Other coveted models include the Atomic SuperCross and the Rossi White Heat Bench.
The chairs stand 40" tall, 38" long, 33" wide and weigh 55 lbs, including the ottoman. The company also makes chairs and benches from snowboards, wakeboards, waterskis and hockey sticks. The chairs are made entirely from recycled products (the legs from recycled milk and pop bottles).
