North Cascade Heli-Skiing - 4 day Yurt Ski Package
The North Cascades of Washington are the most glaciated peaks in the Lower 48, which is why they're nicknamed "The American Alps." Our location in the northeast corner of this range is a unique combination of longitude, latitude and altitude, and gives us some of the finest snow conditions available anywhere.Founded in 1988, North Cascade Heli-Skiing (NCHS) is based out of the Freestone Inn in the Methow Valley. Within our 300,000-acre permit area on the Okanogan National Forest, we can access a vast variety of runs starting at altitudes of 7,500 to 9,000 feet and offering 1,500 to 4,000 vertical-foot drops. |
Sun Valley Heli Skiing - Week long Heli Skiing Packages
Typical Day: We meet at our office (typically 7:30 or 8 am), have a continental breakfast, tea/coffee and head out in our "Rotorhome" shuttle bus to meet the helicopter. Before heading out into the backcountry, you will be briefed on safety and emergency procedures, including the use of an Orotovox avalanche beacon. The helicopter is stocked with snacks and drinks to keep you shredding through the day. After our epic day of skiing, we have lunch at the staging area and then head back into town, arriving back at the office usually between 3 and 4 pm.

Mica Heli Guides has secured the exclusive rights to seven valleys offering over 15,000 acres of 2,500 vertical foot 40 degree runs through old-growth forest in Molson Valley, to the dozens of 2,000 vertical foot chutes in the Harvey Valley, to the 4,000 vertical foot Alaskan faces in Hugh Allen Valley. Bella Coola Heli Sports - Semi-Private Weeks
Our semi private ski weeks are designed for groups of friends that are all heli sports connoisseurs. We will operate the helicopter in two groups of four skiers or snowboarder plus a guide for each load, and will bill the helicopter time on an hourly basis. As a result there will rarely be waiting time between runs, and guests will be able to design their own heli-skiing experience. If you want to maximize your vertical or you want to explore the full extent of our terrain, the motto is "it's your vacation, you decide!" |
