THE MAHRE REPORT: Andy Recaps North Cascades Trip
Last month I made a trip up to North Cascade Heli Skiing with the Nimbus Independent film crew. The crew consisted of Eric Pollard, Erin Valverde Pollard, Pep Fujas, Ike Smith, Justin Wiegand, Alex O’brien, Bryce Phillips, and myself. For two weeks we were either flying in the heli or riding our snowmobiles. I know what you’re thinking and yes, it was a very very tough time. (Take note of the sarcasm.)
On one of the days that we didn’t fly, we took out our snowmobiles. Pep and I decided to put snowboards on our packs. After digging a trail through an old avalanche we did a few slashes on our snowboards, and then met up with Pollard, Wiegand, and Ike to shred some little pillows and drops.
