THE MAHRE REPORT: Andy Recaps North Cascades Trip
Last month I made a trip up to North Cascade Heli Skiing with the Nimbus Independent film crew. The crew consisted of Eric Pollard, Erin Valverde Pollard, Pep Fujas, Ike Smith, Justin Wiegand, Alex O’brien, Bryce Phillips, and myself. For two weeks we were either flying in the heli or riding our snowmobiles. I know what you’re thinking and yes, it was a very very tough time. (Take note of the sarcasm.)
Most of this trip was plagued with cloudy, stormy, and snowy conditions. Waking up to nearly a foot of fresh snow on our vehicles was fairly normal. Cleaning off the truck and trailer was a bit of work, but it was well worth it once we were out making some turns.
