THE MAHRE REPORT: Andy Recaps North Cascades Trip
Last month I made a trip up to North Cascade Heli Skiing with the Nimbus Independent film crew. The crew consisted of Eric Pollard, Erin Valverde Pollard, Pep Fujas, Ike Smith, Justin Wiegand, Alex O’brien, Bryce Phillips, and myself. For two weeks we were either flying in the heli or riding our snowmobiles. I know what you’re thinking and yes, it was a very very tough time. (Take note of the sarcasm.)
While Ike was just happy to take off and land, Justin Wiegand (the other Nimbus filmer) took a different approach. He had flown before this trip, and truly believes that heli skiing (or snowboarding in his case) is a manly activity. Or maybe it was the fact that the he came out victorious in three wrestling matches against, Eric, Ike, and myself.
