Portillo, Chile has received 7 feet of new snow in the last two weeks, and
another storm is on its way. Portillo's 2003 season opens June 14 and runs
to October 14, 2003.

APRIL 13-Snowbird to Remain Open Through at Least Memorial Day
Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort will remain open weekends through at least Memorial Day, May 26, 2003. Utah's only resort open for skiing and riding, Snowbird has received more than two feet of snow already in May with continued snowfall expected this weekend.
APRIL 30-Snowbird to Remain Open Until May 11
Continuing a tradition of the longest ski season in Utah, Snowbird will remain open for spring skiing and riding through Sunday, May 11, conditions permitting. Utah's only ski resort still open, Snowbird is offering discounted lift tickets through the remainder of the season.

The end of the ski season marks the successful conclusion of the eight-week, 20-town Powder to the People Tour, powered by Volkswagen.
Combining an on-slope resence, athlete appearances and the popular Powder
Magazine Video Awards parties, the trip raised $8,000 for ski-related charities. Powder begins production on the 32nd year of "The Skier's Magazine."
