After three weeks of being high and dry, Engelberg was dumped on over night. Residents and visitors to this resort town in the Central Swiss Alps woke up to a meager four inches on their decks and driveways. Up on Titlis, however, conditions were entirely different. Knee deep powder covered the runs lining the pistes, satiating the snow-starved Swiss locals and Scando ski bums this town has become famous for. The snow continued through the day, and is expected to keep coming through the night and into Friday.
With the storm, however, came flat light and horrendous visibility, saving the couloirs and cliff lines Engelberg has become famous for another day. Stay tuned for more from the Schweitz Alps as the storm continues.
