Focused Premiers Selling Out!

September, 2003 - after much speculation, anticipation and just plain rumors about what the award-winning crew at Matchstick Productions has been up to this winter, they are unveiling their latest ski movie presented by Helly Hansen, "Focused." The world premiere is set at the historic Wheeler opera house in Aspen Colorado on September 11, 2003. "Focused" features world-class skiers, Seth Morrison, Shane McConkey, CR Johnson, Pep Fujas, Sarah Burke, Wendy Fisher, Mike Douglas, Eric Pollard, Hugo Harrisson, and Vincent Dorion.

The Aspen/Snowmass Matchstick Movie Tour presented by Colorado Ski Country, The Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News will travel to 70 cities across the globe and be sold via major retail on VHS and DVD. For the winter of 2003 the team at Matchstick traveled the globe filming from helicopters and snowmobiles and world class resorts. Some highlights of the year include Seth Morrison sticking huge rodeo 720's, Jay Quinlan sticking a back flip in his snowmobile and Shane McConkey skiing off 600-foot cliffs with his parachute. "These are some the most insane stunts we have ever filmed," says director Murray Wais.

The crew hauled their cameras and equipment from the terrain parks of Colorado to the remote peaks of Alaska and Norway. The results speak loudly as the footage is some of the most intense ski footage ever produced. From CR Johnson's 20-foot airs in the Aspen superpipe to Shane McConkey's incredible base jumps, "Focused" is going to be the movie that everyone talks about next year.
