A bigger and better format brings POWDER to a whole new level of magazine stardom this fall. The newsstands will affably surprise devoted POWDER readers with a new makeover and numerous improvements, including a larger format, thicker paper, and enhanced design and editorial. The pages will shout the same inspirational spirit that has captured readers for years, but with a bolder confidence and a new look.
As winter creeps into the air, POWDER satisfies the cravings that consume skiers during the long, agonizing months of fall. A new department titled Morpheme will help take the pre-season pain away, with an account of a South American road trip that temps disaster, the tale of the best ski-town scam ever, and the story of a really old tree. Meanwhile, Porter Fox fends off monsters, inexperienced heli pilots, and wave after wave of White Russians to show us a side of Bulgaria we've never imagined, and Rob Story learns that the secret to maintaining sanity during Alaska's long, dark winter months is making turns on Azure-hued slopes. Readers will also be treated to stories on Bridger Bowl's epic New Year's dump, a 12 year-old park phenom, and, as always, the best images in skiing.
