Though the accomplishment of completing the three-canyon tour was something to be remembered--even treasured--most of the team dreamed of skiing the seven resorts in a more leisurely, comprehensive 14-day tour instead of the hurried one. Which is simply a reflection of how good each of these areas is. What was truly demonstrated by the seven-in-a-day safari was precisely how accessible the Salt Lake area resorts are. There is simply no other area in North America with so much good skiing within reach of a major metropolitan area. Evidence in hand: this past year has seen the area attract a deluge of professional athletes, photographers, and writers--not to mention a sizeable percentage of the POWDER staff.
