POWDER Video Awards Nominees
In less than two weeks, the largest collection of skiers, filmmakers, and
industry icons will converge in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Snow Sports
Industries of America tradeshow, for the 3rd Annual POWDER Magazine Reader
Poll and Video Awards.
In addition to the Video Awards (emceed by legendary filmmaker Greg Stump),
the show will feature the Second Annual POWDER Magazine Reader Poll Awards
(emceed by filmmaker Scott Gaffney). The Reader Poll honors the top five femal
e and top 10 male skiers of 2002, as determined by votes cast by POWDER
readers.

An added bonus to this year's show is the official awards ceremony for the 2002 Red Bull Snowthrill of Alaska (also emceed by Mr. Gaffney). For the first time in the history of skiing, the 2002 Snowthrill introduced the photographic element into competitive freeskiing. Twelve of the best competitive freeskiers in the world (8 men and 4 women) invited the shooter of their choice. The teams were then given a predetermined amount of heli time, and a mandate to create the most mind-blowing ski photography ever seen. At the show, you will meet the winning teams and view their incredible images.
