Obermeyer

posted 09/26/03

Aspen, Colorado) - Obermeyer announces the 2003/04 Team O roster, which brings together world-class athletes representing the full gamut of disciplines, ages, backgrounds, and personalities. As a premier brand in the snow sports industry, Obermeyer has rounded up a group of core athletes - including freeskiers, ex-racers, and boarders- with winning records and a passion for their sport.

Coordinated by professional skier and former competitor Billy O'Donnell, Team O includes both athletes and ambassadors. Big Mountain Freeskiers Kiffor Berg, Lynsey Dyer, Jenn Berg, Frank Shine, and Susan Medville; Slopestyle Competitors Peter and Michael Olenick, and Brent Abrams; Boarding Champion Erin Simmons; Telemark Freeskier Max Mancini; and Disabled Ski and Snowboard Champion Chris Devlin-Young are all part of this year's impressive roster. Collectively, Obermeyer athletes have competed and hold titles in dozens of national and international competitions. Ambassadors sporting Obermeyer during professional industry engagements include Warren Miller film star and host Chris Anthony, RSN hosts Doug and Kelly Lewis, and OLN host/1988 Olympian Pam Fletcher.

Team Manager Billy O'Donnell states, "Team O brings together a remarkable cross section of athletes and ambassadors who convey a positive image for the brand, company, and their respective sport. Each member's background and discipline vary, but their unbridled enthusiasm contribute to incredible collective team energy. We at Obermeyer are thrilled with the caliber of individuals who will be representing the company this season."

Team O began five years ago with the intent of assembling premier athletes to provide a face for Obermeyer product and help bring the brand to life. The team was also established as a means to give young, up-and-coming, as well as proven athletes, an opportunity to grow their snow sports career with a reputable brand. Team O members are invaluable in the product design process as they provide hands-on evaluation and feedback of Obermeyer product performance.
