Telluride 30th Birthday Dump

TELLURIDE, CO., Feb. 27, 2003

Birthday wishes do come true! A storm camping out over Telluride this week has dropped nearly a foot and a half of snow since Monday, priming conditions for Telluride's 30th Birthday Blowout Bash, March 1-9. Telluride received two feet in the past week, increasing the mountain's top base to 61 inches and mid-mountain base to 59 inches.

The National Weather Service predicts snow throughout the day with accumulations of up to 6 inches. Snow is expected to fall through early next week, creating stellar conditions during Telluride's 30th birthday celebration. Telluride's eclectic history and ever-present funk come alive during this weeklong event which includes four concerts, a 70's party with Boogie Machine, contests, après-ski revelries, and giveaways.
