Everyone knows Jackson Hole has some of the best terrain in the country, but when you add crazy amounts of snow it gets ridiculous. Heavy winds transported all of that snow to secret stashes that our guides were well aware of. More often than not the snow was over-head. We skied more fresh than we have seen all tour and that says a lot. Our latest visit to Jackson Hole pushed the Fresh-o-meter tally to170 inches.
The story wouldn't be complete without giving props to the Mangy Moose. This is a great venue for a party. With a stage to display our gear, a huge screen T.V., and a killer sound system, all of the odds for a fantastic party were in our favor. A great crowd that produced an electrified energy after a day of unbelievable powder added to the insanity. The raffle tickets were snatched up at a feverish pace and we raised over $650 for the Jackson Community Recycling Center. Gabe and I couldn't help but feed off of this energy and the Jackson Hole patrons got a great show and a lot of free gear.
Leaving Jackson Hole was one of the toughest things we have had to do, but our departure was made easier by the fact that we are now headed for the big mountains of B.C. It makes the pill a little easier to swallow when you have another epic adventure looming in the future.
