Mammoth
Mammoth

Windy Mammoth.

Whisky Creek was a lot like the mountain, small crowd but lots of fun. Those that did show up were rewarded much like those that visited the mountain that day. Everyone was swaged out beyond belief, some laden down with too much gear to carry. The place started rocking after our party and everyone danced the night away to the beats of the local DJ. We ducked out early because it had not stopped dumping. Enough partying already, tomorrow was shaping up to be another powder day. The snow continued to fall all night and we awoke to a shining sun that revealed Mammoth in all of its glory.

Another VW moment.

This was the last official day for the PTTP and we couldn't have asked for a more fitting end, bluebird skies and another foot of fresh. We were ready for all that the mountain had to offer. It offered perfect visibility, varied terrain, and more fun than two individuals deserve. Sadly the 2003 tour ended that day, but we were able to add 12 more inches to our fresh-o-meter, pushing the 8 week total to 285 inches. Not bad for following a schedule that was set in November. As we pulled out of town, we gave thanks and praise for our good health, good fortune, and good times. Then we headed to Alta where another 35 inches fell over the next 4 days. Powder to the People!
