Whistler
Alright!
|
After a night of rest it was off to Blackcomb and the opening of Spanky's Ladder.
Once again an uncanny stroke of luck fell into our lap. We were unaware that the goods hadn't yet opened the day before and when we got to the top of the Glacier Chair it was game on. This has got to be one of the nicest inbound pitches in North America. Big mountain inbounds skiing is a rare treat, but when a foot of fresh is added to the equation it makes for an epic experience. Once again we hooked up with Dan and his posse and the result was two very tired Powder to the People tour leaders. The show must go on and despite our exhaustion we were fired up for the evening's festivities.
Yet another winner.

Perhaps the only thing more legendary than Whistler's terrain is the nightlife. The GLC is known as the place to be for a little apres action, but this is one hell of a venue for a serious nighttime rager and the perfect place for the PTTP party. A great sound system, 10x 10 foot movie screen, $1500 VIP bar tab, and a crazed crowd made for a night to remember. Everytime we go to Whistler we try to prepare for the onslaught of pleasure that awaits. Everytime we leave we are blown away. What more could two ski bums ask for? We skied epic powder conditions and 5000 feet of vertical, enjoyed a fantastic stay at the beautiful and comfortable Coast Hotel and partied like fiends. Whistler knows how to make people happy and we were ecstatic to be on the receiving end of their hospitality. Go to Whistler you will not be dissappointed.
Great place to stay
